The most fairy-tale event of the year, “Warsaw for Children” starts on June 3rd! On that day, Warsaw's Agrykola Park and Royal Baths Park will turn into magic lands. This is the biggest children's event in Poland, offering cultural, educational and sports attractions in one place and time. With children in mind, numerous workshops have been prepared, theatre plays, games and competitions. And all this under the slogan: “Welcome to our fairy-tale!” The peak of the day will be creating together a brand new tale.
The event is organised by Stołeczna Estrada, in collaboration with: the Ministry of Interior, the Association for the Physical Education (TKKF), Warsaw Cultural Education Programme, Star Wars Artistic Team, Web-Kids on Vacation Initiative.
Free admittance to all events.
SELECTED EVENTS IN AGRYKOLA, at 11-18.00 hrs.
• District fairy-tale workshops - II Warsaw Cultural Education Festival
Art workshops, drum-playing classes, giant soap bubbles, “the dragon” - painting constructions on cardboard, dance workshops using Klanz scarf, origami and the mysterious “Dream Catchers.”
• Little Philharmonic Orchestra, Artists Society Euforis
Interactive meetings with instruments – how does the saxophone work? How many keys are there in the accordion? Is it difficult to play the flute? Interactive music workshops using instruments.
• Mr. Photo Camera – hosted by photographer Ryszard Waniek. We will build a camera, take and print photos.
Photography workshops and a photography location for the youngest (in groups). The structure of camera obscura, the secrets of the flash, how a photograph comes to being.
• Dance/music/movement, Capoeira Angola Foundation

Theatre workshops with the participation of Lalka Theatre actors: How does a puppet come to life? What's the difference between a marionette and a puppet? How to play theatre?
• Sports attraction park.
Minigolf, table football, inflatable items, table tennis, bungee trampoline and many more sports attractions
• Star Wars park in Agrykola
A unique occasion to fight a lightsaber duel, undergo a training for a Jedi knight, plus console contests and a meeting with the authors of the Polish dialogues in Star Wars.
• Mission to Mars
The goal is to bring a robot to life, which will have the task of transporting a load from one base to another. We will build the missing part and program the robot using a computer.
“Your Robot” workshops is a combination of computer science, mechanics and great fun.
• The Ministry of Interior Safe City
• A bicycle obstacle course, a quiz about traffic regulations with the possibility to obtain a bicycle card, demonstrations of office vehicles and dog training, competitions with many prizes.
• A fairy-tale bicycle motorcade
A bicycle ride from the Copernicus Science Centre to Agrykola. The bicycle group will be joined by a fairy-tale platform with the characters from “Madagascar.”
Families interested in participating at 11.00 hrs. by the Copernicus Science Centre. Planned arrival in Agrykola at 12.00 hrs.
• Web-kids on vacation
Games for young Internauts: how to safely surf the Internet? What are the dangers of the Web? Correct answers will be awarded with “bytes,” a web-kids currency that can later be exchange for prizes: anti-virus programmes, games and other computer attractions.
• Writing fairy-tales together
The creation and radio- and video-registration of a fairy-tale, at 13.00-16.00 hrs.
Creation of a fairy-tale by the children together with Katarzyna Stoparczyk from Radio Trójka. In this part of the day, kids will have an opportunity to use their imagination creating their own fairy-tale. Anyone aged 1 to 101 can take part, as long as they feel they have a child and a storyteller inside.
EVENTS IN ROYAL BATHS PARK
• Fairy-tale parade
A theatrical parade of children's favourite fairy-tale characters. It will include fairy-tale mini-etudes and other surprises. The parade will go along the Chinese Alley (11-12.00 hrs.)
• Artistic and vocal performances (Roman Theatre)
On tha magical stage in the Royal Baths Park, little artists can be seen between 10 and 16.00 hrs. It will be the finale of the II Warsaw Cultural Education Festival.
• “Rebella” the musical (Roman Theatre, at 18.00 hrs.)
A music show for young audience, based on the Rampa Theatre's spectacle, “Chasing the Fairy-Tale” (W pogoni za bajką).
• Meetings with literature (Old Orangery), the stage under the linden will host presentations from young poets. This year, the literature presented at the Festival fits into the theme “Warsaw the Champion of Europe.” Additionally, we will hear sung poetry, we will see children and youth's books awarded by the IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People) and we will watch short theatrical forms presented by children and young people.
• Field game “The Mystery Royal Baths Garden”
